Islamabad: The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the launch of a nationwide protest campaign against the government, according to Senator Ali Zafar.
Speaking to the media, Zafar said the movement will not be centred in Islamabad but will be spread across the entire country. He quoted the PTI founder as saying, “We have been cornered — now the only option left is to take to the streets.”
Ali Zafar revealed that the PTI founder will lead the movement from prison, and that he (Zafar) has been tasked with preparing the protest strategy.
He claimed, “This movement will be unlike anything seen before,” adding that a detailed plan will be finalised in the coming days.
Despite uncertainty over the June 5 court hearing, Zafar expressed hope that Imran Khan may receive legal relief.
